Cletus

Denny Dale "Cletus" Blakely was born "Down Under Texas" near Brownsville, TX. He picked up the guitar at the age of 3 and was playing bass and putting bands together by age 9.

While still in his teens, Cletus was opening shows with Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Charlie Pride, Alabama, Tanya Tucker, George Strait and George Jones. He has backed up such greats as Freddie Fender, Mickey Gilley and Jack Ingram.

Maverick Producer, R. S. Fields, hired Cletus to be a part of Roots Rockers, Webb Wilder in Nashville right out of high school and toured ouring all over the world with the Georgia Satellites, Melissa Ethridge, Joe Ely and John Hiatte.

He left Nashville and moved back to Texas and helped to start up The Hollisters which was signed to Hightone Records.

Cletus hooked up with Davin in 2001 and never looked back!
